FALL ACTION 2006: "Who Profits from Resources?"
In an October 2005 report, :Mining in Developing Countries - Corporate
Social Responsibility", the Canadian government states it
"expects" and "encourages" Canadian mining companies
investing abroad "to conduct their activities in a socially and
environmentally responsible manner." However, it does not
adequately regulate their actions to ensure this is the case, nor hold
them accountable. How can you help? Participate in the Fall
Action Campaign. Become informed; sign the Action Letter. Check out
