We pray on Mothers Day for all the mothers in this parish (and for the grandmothers) and for the children with which they have blessed our community. We pray to the Lord.

We pray for mothers who are struggling to raise their children alone, for mothers who have lost their children, and for mothers who are trapped in abusive relationships. We pray to the Lord.

We pray for our Holy Mother the Church, that she may overcome the scandals from within her and the attacks from outside, to provide the world with the grace and wisdom it needs in these troubled times. We pray to the Lord.

We pray for the grace to recognize, in the ordinariness of our lives, the presence of the Holy Spirit in all things, lifting us up and revealing to us God’s greatness and love. We pray to the Lord.

We pray for the grace to recognize also, in the extraordinary things in our lives, the presence of the Holy Spirit calling us to look again, to listen and to respond. We pray to the Lord.
