Learn a New Language - Sign
The choir is going to help us to use some sign language in our masses. We are going to begin with "for ever and ever, Amen" and "Alleluia". We encourage the children to participate, especially (but not limited to) during the Family Masses.
LEARN A NEW LANGUAGE!!! (Sign)
Maureen Cerroni (Deaf Community) and Ken Hart have been mentoring some of the choir members to learn simple signs. This Sunday, Janice will be teaching all of us a few simple signs for us to use during Mass. We are going to begin with "for ever and ever, Amen" and "Alleluia". We encourage the children to participate, especially during the Family Masses. Eventually we will be including other signs to be used during the Mass and also learn how to sign "welcome" and "hello" to the deaf community. This will enable us to participate more fully on the occasions when we celebrate Eucharist with the Deaf Community and also when arrive for their Masses, three Sundays a month.
