For those convinced of their own unworthiness to serve, that they will remember the companions of Jesus -- racketeers, thieves, prostitutes -- and the self-doubt of the apostles and answer: Here am I, send me; we pray with Jesus to our Father.
That the church, aware of its missionary identity, may strive to follow Christ faithfully and proclaim the Gospel, especially to those who have never known it or have forgotten, we pray with Jesus to our Father.
For our parish community, that our Lenten reflections will strengthen our resolve to carry out the parish pastoral plan, we pray with Jesus to our Father.
